Kwara state governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq has emerged winner in the All Progressive Congress (APC), Governorship primary election in the state.

Declaring the result of the election, Chairman of the Governorship Primary election for Kwara, Professor Emmanuel Dandaura, said Governor AbdulRazaq who emerged unopposed, polled 961 votes from the 965 accredited delegates, while four votes were declared invalid.

In his acceptance speech, Governor AbdulRazaq commended the delegates and people of kwara state for the honour to affirm his nomination for second term in office.

He explained that his administration had registered positive strides and indices across all sectors, adding that no part of Kwara State was left without government presence.

AbdulRazq assured that interest of the majority of people of the state will continue to be the priority of his administration.

The voting took place in the presence of representatives of INEC led by Shehu Ahmad in accordance with the electoral guidance.
