The Islamic Development Bank IDB has supported the Kaduna State for the construction and equipping of six new Science classrooms aimed at increasing manpower for science development in the state.

The State Commissioner for Education, Hajiya Halima Lawal stated this at a five Day capacity building workshop for Teachers, Administrators and staff of Information Management System in Kaduna.

Represented by permanent secretary of the Ministry Dr. Haliru Soba, the commissioner said the project covered four components which include, construction, equipping and training of science Teachers.

He commended IDB for its support to the project and called on participants to be serious during the capacity building exercise.

In a remark, the Project manager, Mallam Shehu Isah said a total of three hundred and twenty one teaching and non teaching staff were expected to participate at the training.

According to Mallam Shehu Isah, the entire project which includes six blocks of classrooms located in the three zones of the state was ninety eight percent completed.
