Jema’a LG Commends Traditional Institutions For Sustained Peace

The Chairman, Jema’a Local Government area of Kaduna state Mr. Yunana Markus Barde has called for intensified prayers toward restoring peaceful coexistence, saying the relative peace and improved security in the area is not unconnected with the benefits associated with the Ramadan fasting and prayers that marked the Eid-el Fitri Celebration.

Mr. Yunana Barde stated this during the Jema’a Emirate Council’s Hawan Daushe-Sallah Tour at Sir Patrick Yakowa’s Memorial Hospital, Kafanchan.

The Council Chairman who thanked the Security Operatives for their dogged effort in securing lives and property tasked citizens to be more prayerful and law abiding as well as expose every suspicious activities in their communities to the appropriate authorities for swift intervention.

According to Yunana Barde, the peaceful Sallah celebration in the area is attributed to the efforts of Emir of Jema’a, His Royal Highness, Dr. Muhammadu Isah Muhammadu who is a peace loving Emir.

The Council Chairman commended the traditional rulers in the area for their effort geared toward addressing insecurity and other challenges, pointing out that, their role in peace building cannot be overemphasized.

He pleaded with communities that have government institutions such as hospitals, schools and other facilities to remain resolute toward ensuring their security, protection and sustainability to promote growth and development.

Yunana Barde who applauded the efforts of the management of Sir Patrick Memorial Hospital, Kafanchan for making it functional and attracting patients from the neighboring States, said priority attention would be given to the facility for effective healthcare service delivery.
