Federal government has been urged to create more avenues that will enhance women and youth participation in governance and decision making process to reduce restiveness and insecurity in the country.

Young Parliamentarians Forum of Nigeria in the House of Representatives, made the call while briefing newsmen on the ongoing Nationwide protest.

Chairman of the Forum and a member from Kebbi State in the House of Representatives, Alhaji Kabir Ibrahim Tukura said carrying the young people along will engage them to contribute immensely in nation building.

The Forum also advised government to demonstrate commitment to reforming the police, ending the lingering ASUU strike as well as one year tuition fees palliative for students as compensation.

While condemning the outcome of the protest in some states, the Forum called for reconvening of the National Assembly for emergency session to provide legislative measures that will end the crisis.

It further advised the protesters to be law abiding.
