Nasarawa State House of Assembly has assured Governor Abdullahi Sule of more support and legal backing to enhance revenue generation for the overall development of the state.

To this end, the House has confirmed the re-appointment of  Ahmed Muhammad Yakubu, as Chairman of the State Internal Revenue Service and three members of the board.

The Speaker of the State Assembly Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi announced their confirmation after the appearances during the House proceedings in Lafia.

He said the confirmation of the Chairman and three other members followed their track records of achievements in their first tenure.

According to him, they confirmed the re-appointment of Ahmed Muhammed Yakubu as Chairman, Sabo Balarabe Usman, Emmanuel Zachariah, and Ali Mohammed Doma as members of the Nasarawa State Board of Internal Revenue Service.

The Speaker urged the chairman and members of the board to continue to work in synergy in order to take the board forward and generate more revenue for the coffer of the state government.

Earlier, The Majority leader of the house, Umar Tanko Tunga moved a motion for the confirmation of the nominees.

Similarly, Mr. Abel Bala, the Minority Leader of the House seconded the motion while the House unanimously screened and confirmed the nominees.

The Speaker then directed the clerk of the House to communicate the House resolution to Governor Abdullahi Sule for necessary action.
