Governor Bello Mohammed Matawallen of zamfara state has ordered the immediate distribution of 2022 Ramadan welfare to 40,000 orphans across the 17 Emirates of the state.

This is in addition to the 1.8 billion naira worth of essential commodities the Governor ordered to be distributed to other categories of people in the state as ramadan welfare

The distribution of the essential commodities which comprised Rice, Maize, Millet, Sugar, Atampa and shaddah brocades worth 896. 8 million naira was conducted at the state Zakkat and Endowment Board.

The Governor said the gesture was part of his administration’s efforts to give maximum attention and comfort to the orphans, less privileged and the vulnerable in the society, especially during the Ramadan period.

Matawalle explained that, his administration since its inception had been carrying along, the orphans and the vulnerable across the state and warned that any person caught diverting the commodities would be seriously dealt with.

It may be recalled that the Governor recently distributed food stuff, clothing materials, mattresses and cash to orphans, the vulnerable groups and less privileged in the society to alleviate their sufferings.
