KANO STATE COMMISSIONER FOR HEALTH DR. AMINU IBRAHIM TSANYAWA DURING THE FLAG OFF

Kano State government says it will provide free medical services to 15,000 dental patients, across the five emirate councils in the state, to improve quality healthcare delivery.

The state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje stated this during the flag off of Free Oral Health Outreach and Training programme in commemoration of the World Oral Health Day 2022 at Tiga General Hospital in Bebeji local government area.

Dr. Ganduje explained that 3,000 patients from each of the five emirate councils will benefit from free treatment by the state government within the week.

The Governor represented by the state Commissioner of Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, pointed out that there will be a training programme for the dentists to boost their morale.

He called on the general public especially dental patients, to visit the nearest health center to access the free medical outreach, adding that millions of naira has been earmarked by the state government through its Health Trust Fund for the exercise.

Earlier in his speech, the Executive Secretary, Kano state Health Trust Fund, Dr. Nura Idris said the objective of the trust fund is to support the state government in ensuring quality healthcare delivery.

In his remarks , the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa, who was represented by district head of Bebeji, majidadin Rano Alhaji Tijjani Abdullahi kuki describe the free medical outreach as apt and commended the state government for its dedication and commitment.

Radio Nigeria reports that, other dignitaries at the flag off include the local government council secretary of Bebeji local government area, Alhaji Hassan Usman and other relevant stakeholders.
