Inspector General of Police-IGP, Mohammed Adamu, has announced a dissolution of a subunit of the Force, the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS).

The dissolution is coming on the heels of the #EndSARS protest nationwide.

The IGP made this known on Sunday afternoon in a press conference at the Force headquarters.

The SARS, a police unit, has been accused of extortion, intimidation, and murder of many young Nigerians.
