Jigawa State Government has employed over one thousand people to replace vacancies in the state public service last year.

The State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Hussain Ali Kila made this known to newsmen in Dutse.

He said the employment is under the state automatic appointment for students who obtained first class degrees and health sector.

Alhaji Hussain Ali explained that a number of workers were promoted to the next level in addition to training and re-training of the workforce to professionalism.

He also commended the commitment of state government for prompt payment of workers salary, pension and gratuity.

He therefore called on civil servants to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their duties.
