A Security Expert Dr Yahuza Ahmed Getso has cautioned the Federal Government against applying military solution in fighting banditry in Nigeria.

He stated this while presenting keynote address at the LAKPMA Youths Assembly Shiroro local government council maiden Youth and Traditional summit held in Gwada Niger state,

Dr Yahuza Ahmed Getso maintained that applying military option in addressing the current security challenges in parts of Nigeria may not provide the much needed solution instead would only worsen such problems.

According to him though there are instances where power could be applied and not necessarily that of military but peaceful and amicable settlement may as well be the answer in some cases.

Dr Yahuza Ahmed Getso said Federal Government can also address the problem by choosing forty youths from each wards of states in Northern region and train them on weapon handling to compliment efforts of security agencies in fighting insurgency in the region.

He said informants had remained a threat to National security stressing that if u take away infornants ninety percent of insurgency would seize to exist.

President LAKPMA Youth Assembly Comrade Jibrin Alawa said the summit was organised towards finding lasting solution to the activities of informants in fighting crimes.

Comrade Jibrin Alawa also described the theme of the summit Dangers of Infornants in the fight Against Banditry as apt and timely.

Chairman of the occasion and NLC Chairman Niger state Chapter Comrade Yakubu Garba represented by Hajiya Ladidi Ibrahim Kuta called for collective efforts by all and sundry in fighting crimes
