National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons in collaboration with the Nigerian Army have inaugurated the Project Zero Hunger in Lagos state.

The Project was designed in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 of ending hunger and malnutrition as well as building inclusive and sustainable food systems globally.

Speaking, the National Commissioner, of the Commission, Hajiya Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim said the gesture would satisfy the immediate nutritional needs of persons of concern.

Hajiya Imaan explained that the Project would promote an integrated and whole of society approach which gives everyone the opportunity to complement the Federal Government effort especially in the Feeding persons of concern.

She added that Project Zero Hunger would also create a forum for stakeholders to collaborate and support the Commission in mobilizing additional resources to positively make a better impact in the lives of the beneficiaries.

Food Care packages were distributed to the people.
