Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority- KADCHAMA says over two hundred and sixty thousand people has been enrolled into its contributory health scheme.

Director General of the Health Authority, Mallam Aliyu Saidu who revealed this at a two-day workshop organised by the Agency for health workers in Primary Health Centres in the State, said the scheme was designed to offer easy access to quality healthcare.

According to him, the bulk of the enrolled have so far registered with private health facilities, adding that the workshop is aimed to sensitize the primary Health Centres on the need to woo enrollees to their facilities.

The Director General added that the agency had disbursed over one hundred million Naira to Health Maintenance Organisations out of which only ten million Naira went to the primary health centers, due to gaps in services by the PHC’s.
