A Non Governmental Organization , Africa Media Development Foundation, AMDF want perpetrators of violence against journalists to face the wrath of the law.

A statement issued in Kaduna by the Executive Director of AMDF Iliya Kure says it is concerned with the spate of attacks, killings ,kidnappings and other form of infringements journalists face across Africa.

It reminded African Leaders and relevant authorities the important role played by the media as the fourth estate of the realm, which includes ensuring accountability, transparency, giving voice to the voiceless and entrenching democratic norms among others in most African countries.
