Jigawa state NDE Coordinator, Alhaji Abubakar Jamo

National Directorate of Employment NDE says youth And Women in jigawa state are undergoing a two-day training on advanced business for Extended Special Public Works Beneficiaries.

The State Coordinator, Alhaji Abubakar Jamo disclosed this at the opening ceremony at Federal Secretariat, in Dutse.

He explained that, the training was for those participated in the 774,000 jobs where 1,000 individuals were selected in each of the local government areas across the ccountry.

According to him, the training organised by the directorate is an exit strategy especially for those that do not have business orientation.

Alhaji Abubakar Jamo further said NDE had trained some of the beneficiaries in some selected local government areas of the state on basic business in July this year. 

He pointed out that, the training exercise which commenced in the central senatorial district, would also be conducted to north-west in Ringim and north-east in Kafin Hausa local government areas of the state.

The State Coordinator noted that, the directorate had selected 180 trainees in each of the three senatorial districts of the state for the training exercise.

Jamo reiterated the commitment of the NDE towards bridging the gap of unemployed youth in the state.

He said the era of white-collar jobs had gone, hence the need to recreate the White-collar jobs, which according to him, entails manual activities. 

The NDE Boss in the state, therefore, urged youths to take advantage of the presence of the directorate I to acquire skills on different income-generating trades as a matter of priority.

Some of the trainees, Safiyanu Sama’ila from Kiyawa local government and Shamsiyya Muhammad from Dutse who spoke to Radio Nigeria, commended the federal government and the NDE for the gesture.
