The chairman of the recently-concluded APC congresses in Katsina State, Alhaji Muntari Lawal, says the party leadership will not allow any member that is aggrieved by the conduct of the party’s congresses in the state to foment crisis within the party.
Alhaji Muntari Lawal who is also the Chief of Staff, Government House Katsina, stated this at a press conference held at his residence in Katsina.
The press conference was in reaction to the pasting of his campaign posters supposedly to promote his rumoured contest for the Katsina Central Senatorial Seat in the 2023 general elections.
He described the pasting of the posters as an act of mischief by persons he accuses of attempting to discredit the recently concluded APC cogresses in the state.
“Those who pasted the posters aim to discredit the process which my committee presided over, they try to portray me as one who attempts to skew the process to my advantage.
“I will place it on record that I have no plans to run for any elective position in the next general elections, not even in my own house.
“My principal, Governor Aminu Bello Masari, is our leader, and we only run for elective positions on his orders.
“I assure you that as my principal plans to retire to his farm by 2023, so do I, I will also retire to my farm, we have done our best for the state”, Muntari Lawal affirmed.
