The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has reaffirmed its determination in providing assorted seeds for planting and other support to farmers ,with the aim of boosting agro business in the country.
The Coordinator of the Ministry in Kano Alhaji Abba Gana Yamani stated this during the distribution of seeds and other farm inputs to farmers ,organized by the Department of Agro business in collobaration with the Institute of Agricultural Reearch, Ahmadu bello University Zaria, held in Kano.
He said the was working tirelessly in ensuring that assorted seeds and farm inputs were being distributed to farmers accros the country aimed at Enhancing Agro business and boosting food Production.
He said the materials distributed to the farmers includes assorted seeds, empty cartons of storing tomatoes among others .
Alhaji Abba Gana Yamani noted that over two hundred farmers selected from the 44 local Government Areas of the state benefitted from the gesture.
The Director charged the beneficiaries to make maximum utilization of the items given to them, and recipocrate the gesture by being committed am in ensuring that the stated goals were achieved.
Malam Musa Alasan from Garun Malam local Government Area and Rabiu Suleiman from kura local Government Area were among the beneficiaries and applauded the foresight of the federal Ministry of Agriculture and rural development for the kind gesture and promised to make maximum utilization of the items.
