Nasarawa State Police Commissioner CP Adesina Soyemi has ordered massive deployment of Police personnel to secure the forthcoming Local Government election on the sixth of October  2021, in the state.

CP Adesina Soyemi made this known in a statement issued to newsmen by the state Public Relations Officer PPRO, ASP Ramhan Nansel in lafia the state capital.

The state Commissioner of Police assured that the Command was committed to ensuring the security of all voters by deploying Police personnel to all the polling units and other strategic areas in the State to maintain peace before, during and after the election.

He called on all political parties to caution their supporters to refrain from causing chaos; noting that, there would be restriction of movement during the election across the State.

The CP explained that a Rapid Response Team had been created in all the Local Government areas to promptly respond to distress calls.

He added that Police personnel deployed had been warned to be civil, neutral and professional in carrying out their duties.
