The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammad has been turbaned as the Kakaki of Kabi by the Emir of Arugungu, Alhaji Samaila Mohammed Mira.

In a remark shortly after the turning, Emir of Argungu Alhaji Muhammad Mera, described the importance of the tittle “Kakaki Kabi” as the spoke person of the people of Kabi.

According to the Emir, the decision to turbaned the Minister as kakaki of Kabi, was made due to his commitment in promoting unity in the Country as well as the support given towards the successful last Arugungu International Fishing Festival.

The Emir said, the Minister deserved the tittle saying, I consulted my subjects before I took final decision to turban him as the Kakaki of Kabi.

Responding, the newly turban Kakaki of Kabi and Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammad, thanked the people of Kabi for honoring him as the Kakaki of Kabi.

He added that, his administration would continue to strengthen cultural heritage, because is a signed of bring unity and peace in the country.

“Am assuring you people that, I will be supporting the people of Kabi as Kabi is my home”.

The ceremony which took place at the Palace of the Emir of Arugungu, Kebbi State witnessed by some prominent Nigerians.
