Alhaji Uba Bala Ringim

Jigawa State Local Government Service Commission in collaboration with the Code of Conduct Bureau has organized a three-day workshop on strict compliance with assets declaration and code of conduct for public officers in the 27 local government areas. 

Speaking at the opening ceremony, chairman of the commission Alhaji Uba Bala Ringim, represented by the permanent commissioner one, Alhaji Salisu Mu’azu Kanya said the workshop aimed to discuss ways to ensure Strict compliance with asset declaration, code of conduct ethics among public officers for financial discipline and accountability in the management of public resources.

Alhaji Uba Bala Ringim however charged the participants to extend the knowledge acquired for step down training.

In her remarks, the National Deputy Director of Education and Advocacy services of the Bureau, Mrs Ijeanula Arinze said the workshop would re-awaken public officers on strict compliance with the assets declaration code and urged them to be fair, just and honest in delivering their duties. 

In their separate remarks, the participants, Muhammad Ubale Head of works department Hadejia Local Government and his Birnin kudu counterpart Tijjani Jakada, expressed appreciation for organizing the workshop.

They also promised to impart the knowledge to other staff in their respective places of work.
