Kwara state police Command says it has arrested five suspected ritualists in Patigi local government area of the state.

In a statement by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Okasanmi Ajayi, said the remains of the murdered victim has also been recovered .

According to the statement, the victim a prostitute was tricked and taken to one of the suspect’s home, where she was beheaded for money ritual purposes.

The statement explained that on June 29, 2021 unknown young person, later identified as Samuel Peter Tsado of Patigi town in Patigi Local government area of the State, went to one Hotel in Patigi and requested for the service of a commercial sex worker.

It said after the monetary negotiation of N5,000:00, both Peter and Abigail left the hotel premises to an unknown place, and that since then both of them were not seen again.

The statement noted that on receipt of the report of missing person, the commissioner of police, who suspected a foul play directed that the case be taken over by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a discreet investigation.

The statement said Investigation, led to the arrest of one Samuel Peter Tsado, who confessed that he actually contracted the deceased for sex.

It said the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
