Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama

Federal Government has condemned the attack on its residential buildings in Accra, Ghana,  describing the action  as criminal and outrageous.

 Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama who made this known in Abuja, requested Ghanaian authorities to find the perpetrators and provide adequate protection for Nigerians and their properties in Ghana.

He said the Action of Ghanaian Authorities was a breach of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (VCDR. 1961).

 The Minister noted that investigations were ongoing to unravel facts of the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.

 Meanwhile, Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Intervention confirmed that the incident was being investigated to bring perpetrators to book.
