President Muhammadu Buhari has extolled the magnanimity of Saudi Arabia towards the stability of the Nigerian economy.

The President made the commendation, while receiving the Saudi Arabian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud, at State House, Abuja.

President Buhari said with Nigeria’s large population and infrastructural deficit, the country needed all the revenue she could get from oil, a mainstay of the economy, explaining that Saudi Arabia has been kind to Nigeria by reducing production severally to accommodate Nigeria’s deficiencies.

He noted that the relationship between the two countries had been cordially strong, dating back in time.

Prince Al-Saud said he brought greetings from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, saying the Kingdom appreciates the relationship with Nigeria, and wants to strengthen it even further.

The two countries, he said, had good prospects both economically and politically, not just among the leaders, but also the people.
