The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control,NCDC says it has recorded 471 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

According to the NCDC, the infections were recorded in 13 states.

The states are- Lagos (219), Akwa Ibom (102), Ondo (37), Oyo (33), Kwara (19), Rivers (16), Ekiti (15), Delta (14), Ogun (7), FCT (5), Niger (2), Edo (1) and Katsina (1)

The Director-General of the NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, stated this on the official platform noted that 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria adding that 178, 086 cases have been confirmed, 165,763 cases have been discharged and 2,187 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
