Jigawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency says one point seven million children are to be immunized in the second round of polio immunization exercise in the State.

The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Kabir Ibrahim made this known to newsmen in Dutse.

According to him, the four-day exercise commenced today across the 27 local government areas of the State.

Dr Kabiru Ibrahim therefore called on parents to ensure that their under age five children were immunized againts poliomyelitis.

He commended traditional leaders and other stakeholders for their support and cooperation given to every round of the exercise.
