Properties worth millions of naira were destroyed by wind storm in Guri Local government area of jigawa state. 

In an interview with Radio Nigeria, the Information Officer of the local government, Alhaji Sunusi Doro said the windstorm affected 100 houses with a number of people rendered homeless.

According to him, the most affected areas  include Abuja quarters, Layin nawa, Bula Huri, Bakin kasuwa Bele and Bagaja.

Alhaji Sunusi Doro said, the chairman of Guri local government council, Alhaji Musa Shu’aibu had visited the affected places to sympathize with the victims.

He called on state emergency management agency SEMA to come to their aid.
