Nigeria labour congress NLC has commended commitment of jigawa state government to ensure prompt payment of workers salaries.

The state chairman of the union comrade Sunusi Alhassan maigatari stated this in Dutse the state capital.

Comrade Sunusi Alhassan maigatari explained that the state was at the forefront in the Payment of salaries, pension and gratuity as and when due in the last six years.

According to him, workers are proud of the state government resolve to continue with the payment of thirty six thousand naira minimum wage despite the current financial challenges facing the country.

He however commended the state government for executing numerous capital projects in areas such as Education, healthcare, Agriculture road network, Economic empowerment and other sectors.

Comrade Sunusi Maigatari reiterated commitment of the union to strengthening working relationship with the state government.

The Chairman also urged workers to reciprocate the gesture by redoubling undertaking in discharging their duties at local and state levels.
