A non profit organization, Kano Concern Citizens Initiative (KCCI) has advised wealthy individuals and associations to imbibe the culture of helping the needy in the society to alleviate their economic plight.

President of the initiative, Alhaji Bashir Usman Tofa gave the advice while inspecting the distribution of items to the needy at Rukayya House, Tarauni Local Government of Kano state.

He appealed to the general public to exhibit the habit of helping one another especially during the holy month of Ramadan and beyond.

Alhaji Bashir Usman Tofa expressed his appreciate on the fair play adopted during the screening and distribution of the support to the needy, saying it was the pilot scheme.

In a remark, the Coordinator of the welfare commitee,KCCI , Alhaji Bala Mohammad Borodo said one thousand people benefitted with the sum of five thousand Naira each, aimed at enhancing their wellbeing.

He said the initiative in collaboration with the Muslim Lawyers of Nigeria Kano Chapter, facilitate the release of 22 inmates in the state.

The Kano Concern Citizens Initiative equally extended its charitable activities to five government hospitas in Kano with over three hundred patients benefitting from the gesture.
