Argungu Fishing Festival

Federal Government has included the Argungu Fishing Festival in the calendar of Nigerian Festivals.

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, stated this in Abuja at a press briefing ahead of the 2020 Argungu International and Fishing Festival.

He said with the calendar set to be published soon, Domestic and International Tourists would plan attendance of various Nigerian festivals with ease.

The Minister said festivals were rich ingredients for enhancement of tourism in Nigeria, stressing that they play a part in the creative industry, which is one area the federal government relies on for diversification of the economy.

Lai Mohammed added that festivals also provide jobs, especially for women and the youth across the globe.
