Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has congratulated Muslims across the state on this year’s Maulud celebrations.
This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the Governor’s Special Assistant on New Media, Malam Garba Al-Hadejawy.
Governor Namadi urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), particularly his virtues of peace, compassion, humility, justice, tolerance and love for humanity.
He also encouraged the faithful to uphold these values in their daily lives and promote peace, unity and peaceful coexistence in society.
Namadi called on the Muslims faithful to renew their commitment to living by these noble values, promote unity and peaceful coexistence, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood within their communities.
He also encouraged citizens to use the occasion to pray for peace, stability, economic relief and sustainable progress in the state, the country and world at large.
