Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has
urged wealthy individuals and other well-meaning members of the public to continue supporting religious and community development projects, stressing that such initiatives promote peace, unity and moral values in society.
Governor Idris stated this while commissioning the newly completed Emir Zayyanu Jumu’at Mosque located at Tudun Gwabna GRA in Yauri Local Government Area of the state, which was named after the Emir of Yauri, His Royal Highness Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi,
The project was executed through the collective efforts and contributions of the host community, with support from the Kebbi State Government and other public-spirited individuals, and commended the people of the community for their unity, commitment and collective spirit.
He also appreciated the immediate past administration of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for its donation of ₦20 million towards the construction of the mosque, describing the gesture as a worthy investment in the promotion of Islam and community development.

Responding, the Emir of Yauri, His Royal Highness Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi, expressed profound appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris for honouring the Emirate with his presence to commission the mosque.
The Emir also commended the Governor for his unwavering commitment to improving security across Yauri Emirate and Kebbi State, noting that the administration’s sustained support for security agencies has continued to restore public confidence and enhance peaceful coexistence in the area.
