The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC says it has finalized security arrangements to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Adha celebration across Kaduna State.

In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Habeeb Badamasi says the State Commandant approved the deployment of two thousand personnel to provide security at prayer grounds, strategic locations, recreational centres, highways and other critical areas across the State.

The statement directs Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to intensify surveillance, strengthen intelligence gathering and enforce crime prevention measures within their jurisdictions.

According to the statement, special attention has also been given to major prayer grounds, public gathering points and highway patrols through Operation Fushin Kada.

The statement assures of collaboration with sister security agencies and urges residents to remain vigilant, law-abiding and provide credible information to security agencies to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration.
