Card carrying members of the All Progressives Congress APC from the two hundred and seventy seven wards in Niger state have unanimously endorsed Governor Mohammed Umar Bago as sole candidate for the twenty twenty seven General elections.

 

The endorsement took place during the Gubernatorial affirmation at the APC Secretariat in Minna, the Niger state capital.

 

Chairman APC House of Representatives Primaries Election Committee for Niger state, Danlami Abubakar Mohammed establish the affirmation through voice vote after a motion was moved by the member representing Niger East Senatorial Zone, Senator Sani Musa for the adoption of Governor Umar Bago as sole candidate and was seconded by Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly Mrs Eunice Dauda.

 

The Chairman also affirmed twenty seven House of Assembly candidates that emerged through direct primaries and consensus from the twenty five Local Government Areas.

 

Of the number of APC candidates four of them emerged through direct primaries while twenty three came through consensus.

 

In his welcome address, State Chairman of APC Aminu Musa Bobi thanked members of the party for the confidence reposed on them and called for more to succeed.

 

In his remarks, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago thanked the people of Niger state for the overwhelming support and accepted the nomination wholeheartedly.
