The Peoples’ Democratic Party ( PDP) in Gombe State has cleared Senator Ibrahim Dankwambo to contest for the 2027 Gombe North Senatorial election.

Alh. Ibrahim Dankwambo, a former governor of Gombe State and current senator representing Gombe North ,emerged among aspirants cleared by the PDP screening committee for the party’s National Assembly primaries in the state.

The list of the screened aspirants was contained in a statement by the chairman of the Screening Committee, Muhammad Danazumi in Gombe.

According to the statement , Senator Anthony Siyako, was cleared for Gombe South District, while Aliyu Hammadu secured clearance for Gombe Central.

For the House of Representatives, the party cleared Gidado Alhaji Lawanti for Akko Federal Constituency, Mohammed Lamido for Dukku, and Obed Paul for Kaltungo/Shongom.

Others cleared are Dr. Nasir Ibrahim for Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye, Shu’aibu Umar Galadima for Yamaltu/Deba, and Rambi Ayala for Balanga/Billiri.

Ibrahim Dankwambo a former governor of Gombe State and the current governor Inuwa Yahaya will Square off against each other to clinch the Gombe North Senatorial District ticket in the 2027. elections.
