The Islamic Women Aid and Charity Foundation has distributed wheelchairs, a pusher, and cash assistance to the less privileged and people living with disabilities in Kaduna to ease their hardship amid the current economic situation.
President of the foundation, Hajia Baraka Dahiru AbuMawashi said the organization, which had existed for 11 years, was established to support the needy and vulnerable in the society.

She explained that the foundation had continued to assist people facing difficulties by providing food, clothing, education support, and other humanitarian services.
Hajia Baraka stressed the importance of helping people irrespective of their background, adding that the foundation had expanded its activities to different states across the country.
According to her, the aim is to help beneficiaries become self-reliant and improve their standard of living to enable them support their families.

Hajia Baraka also called on relevant NGOs, stakeholders, and well-meaning Nigerians to collaborate in supporting vulnerable people, stressing that many of them lacked basic necessities.
Also Speaking, Sarkin Unguwan Dosa Alhaji Mohammed Idris, commended the foundation for its humanitarian services across Kaduna communities, noting that the organization has continued to feed, clothe, educate, and empower the less privileged, and urged others to emulate such acts of kindness.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the foundation for the gesture and prayed for continued blessings upon the organization and its leadership.
They also appealed to other individuals and organizations to extend similar support to people in need.
