The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board says the second and final batch of the state’s intending pilgrims has arrived safely in Madina, marking the successful completion of the airlift exercise.

The Director General of the board, Ahmed Umar Labbo, disclosed this in an interview with Radio Nigeria Correspondent, Usman Mohammed Zaria, in Madina.

According to him, both the first and second batches of pilgrims have been transported in an orderly manner to historical sites in Madina, including Mount Uhud, Masjid Quba, Qiblatayn Mosque, and the Al-Baqi Cemetery.

He explained that officials of the board and Islamic preachers from the state accompanied the pilgrims to the holy mosque in Madina.

Ahmed Labbo further stated that feeding arrangements had been made to provide special dietary care for pilgrims suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes during the Hajj exercise.

He said the measure was introduced to enhance the health and well-being of pilgrims from the state throughout the pilgrimage period.

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo pointed out that, arrangements have also been made for the daily three square meals to the state pilgrims while in Saudi Arabia.

The DG added that, the first batch would be transported to Makkah soon.
