The Member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Daniel Amos, has emphasized the need for policies and initiatives that support workers as a pathway to national growth and development.

 

The lawmaker also urged government and stakeholders to create an enabling environment that rewards hard work, safeguards workers’ welfare, and encourages higher productivity.

 

In a statement, Daniel Amos made this known while paying tribute to Nigerian workers in commemoration of Workers’ Day, acknowledging their resilience, discipline, and unwavering commitment to national development.

 

He praised the critical role workers play across all sectors of the economy, noting that their daily efforts continue to sustain the nation despite mounting economic challenges and shifting realities..

 

The lawmaker highlighted the contributions of workers in agriculture, education, healthcare, and business, describing them as the “bedrock of national development.”

 

According to him, from farms that ensure food security to classrooms shaping future leaders, and hospitals preserving lives, Nigerian workers remain indispensable to the country’s progress.

 

“Nation-building is not forged in grand declarations alone, but in the consistent, often uncelebrated efforts of diligent men and women who keep the wheels of progress turning.

 

“As we honour them today, we are reminded that the strength of our nation lies in the dignity of labour and the collective resolve of its workforce,” he said.

 

Daniel Amos further described workers’ resilience as a source of hope and pillar of national strength, stressing that their continued commitment is essential to building a more prosperous and united Nigeria.

 

He reaffirmed his support for initiatives aimed at improving workers’ welfare and promoting sustainable economic growth.
