Radio Nigeria Kaduna has assured Kaduna Polytechnic of full media support ahead of the institution’s upcoming combined convocation ceremony and 70th anniversary celebration.

The assurance was given on Tuesday when a high-powered delegation from the Polytechnic paid a courtesy visit to the FRCN Kaduna zonal headquarters.

Leader of the delegation, Dr. Grace Jamila Bilha, said the visit was aimed at synergising with the Corporation to secure publicity and coverage for the landmark events. She stressed the need for partnership to create wider awareness of the institution’s seven decades of academic excellence.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Acting Zonal Director, Malam Ali Garba, Deputy Director, News and Current Affairs, Malam Aminu Abdullahi Gumbi, welcomed the team and described Kaduna Polytechnic as a “sister organisation” to Radio Nigeria.

“News is free, and we will do whatever is within our power to support your celebrations,” Gumbi said. He added that FRCN Kaduna would provide robust news coverage for the convocation and anniversary, noting however that other media services beyond standard news reporting would be guided by the Corporation’s terms and conditions.

Malam Gumbi, alongside other members of FRCN management, commended the Polytechnic for its contributions to national development and thanked the delegation for the visit.

The courtesy call ended with Dr. Bilha signing the Radio Nigeria Kaduna visitors’ book, followed by a group photograph with FRCN management staff.
