The All Progressives Congress APC says it will provide a level playing ground for all the aspirants seeking elective position to test their popularity in the forthcoming party primaries.
The Nasarawa State Chairman of the Party, Dr Aliyu Bello, stated this while addressing a press conference in Lafia, the state capital.
He said, the party is committed to the principles of internal democracy, noting that no aspirants will be disadvantaged as party guidelines most be strictly adhered to.
According to him, the party has put machinery in place to ensure, free, fair, credible and transparent primaries in compliance with the electoral act, party constitution.
The state party chairman called on all party faithful to conduct themselves with maturity, restraint, and a high sense of responsibility, before , during and after the electioneering period.
“Politics should not be a source of division, but rather a platform for strengthening our shared vision and collective aspirations.
” As we move forward, we encourage continuous dialogue, mutual respect, and strict adherence to party guidelines,” Bello said…..”
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for implementing far-reaching developmental programmes and reforms aimed at stabilizing the nation economy, improving infrastructure and enhancing national security.
The party also passed the vote of confidence on Governor Abdullahi Sule for his purposeful leadership, foresight, and unwavering commitment to the unity, stability and development of Nasarawa State.
“Under his stewardship, the State has witnessed remarkable strides in infrastructure development, economic expansion, investment drive, and improved governance standards.
“His leadership has not only strengthened our Party but has also inspired confidence among the people,” he said.
On the emergence of a preferred successor for governorship, Dr. Aliyu Bello said it was a product of wide-ranging consultations and reflects a deliberate effort to promote continuity, stability, collective interest of the party and the state.
