Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger state has congratulated the new executives of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Niger State Chapter.

In a congratulatory message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor urged the newly inaugurated state officials of NAWOJ to be selfless in the discharge of their duties and justify the confidence reposed in them by working assiduously for the upliftment of the association.

He notes that NAWOJ has made a remarkable impact on society through the consistent reportage of its members, especially on issues that affect women and children.
According to him, the new executives of NAWOJ in Niger State should take advantage of his administration being women-friendly for collaborations that would improve the lives of women generally in the state, and assured the association of his unflinching support for the association to attain greater heights.
The new executives inaugurated are Dr Asabe Sule Garba as chairperson, Ruth Gana as vice chairperson, and Hauwa Inuwa as the secretary.
Others are Aisha Baba-Doko as assistant secretary, Treasurer Fatima Kaka-Suleiman, Financial Secretary Safiyan Muhammad Yaman, and Hussaina Musa as Auditor.
