The Chairman of the Senator Marafa Support Group, Alhaji Surajo Garba Maikatato, has revealed that Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa will soon announce the political platform on which he will contest the 2027 governorship election in Zamfara State.
In a statement personally signed by Maikatato, he described the anticipated declaration as a turning point in the state’s political history, noting that supporters across Zamfara have been eagerly awaiting clarity on the senator’s next move.
He said he had received numerous calls and messages from loyal supporters seeking to know the party under which Marafa would run and urged them to remain patient.
“Very soon, the announcement will be made. Until then, I urge all our supporters to remain steadfast in prayer and unwavering in their support. With unity and faith, we shall triumph, by the will of Allah,” he stated.
Alhaji Surajo Maikatato also called on citizens of Zamfara to rally behind the movement, emphasizing that, the group is committed to running an issue-based and people-oriented campaign aimed at setting a new standard in the state’s political landscape.
He described Senator Marafa as a leader of integrity, courage, and proven track record, assuring that his administration, if elected, would prioritize justice, equity, and fairness for all citizens, regardless of status or background.
According to him, the senator has developed a comprehensive blueprint focusing on key sectors such as security, education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure, aimed at addressing the state’s developmental challenges.
The support group chairman also referenced Marafa’s recent exit from the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a principled decision driven by dissatisfaction with unmet campaign promises, particularly in addressing insecurity in Zamfara State.
He urged voters to make informed decisions in future elections, stressed the need to support leaders who demonstrate commitment, accountability, and compassion.
Maikatato further expressed confidence in Marafa’s chances in the 2027 election, citing his leadership qualities, experience, and longstanding connection with the people.
