The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Zuru, has died in an Egyptian hospital where he was undergoing medical treatment.

The Special Adviser to Governor on Media and Publicity Malam Yahaya Sarki confirmed this to Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Birnin Kebbi that the speaker passed away on Monday night.

The late speaker, who represented Zuru constituency, had been managing his health for some time and was a prominent figure in Kebbi State politics, serving as the Speaker of the State Assembly.

Prior to his death, he was in Egypt seeking medical attention for an undisclosed illness.

The news of his passing has sent shockwaves across the state, with many mourning the loss of a dedicated leader.
