The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Alumni Association, Kaduna State Branch, has congratulated Professor Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu on his appointment as the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

 

In a statement issued on behalf of the association, the Chairman, Engr. Abubakar Gambo Umar, and the Secretary, Hadiza Bello Abdullahi, described the appointment as well-deserved and a recognition of Professor Shu’aibu’s outstanding contributions to academia and national development.

 

Professor Shu’aibu, a native of Anchau in Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, is a Professor of History at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and the immediate past Director of Arewa House. He also serves as the Vice Chairperson of the ABU Alumni Association, Kaduna State Branch.

 

The association noted that he has consistently demonstrated exceptional academic excellence, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to service, qualities which have earned him respect within and beyond the university community.

 

According to the statement, his emergence as PTDF Executive Secretary reflects the confidence reposed in his ability to lead and deliver on critical national assignments.

 

The alumni body expressed confidence that his vast experience in research, education, and institutional administration would enhance the mandate of the PTDF and contribute significantly to the growth and sustainability of Nigeria’s petroleum sector.

 

While wishing him success in his new role, the association prayed for wisdom and strength for Professor Shu’aibu as he takes on the responsibility of steering the organization to greater heights.
