People residing in the interior villages near Kainji Lake located in two Local Government Councils of Borgu and Agwara in Niger State have been advised tọ vacate immediately and return tọ Agwara, New Bussa and Kontagora tọ celebrate the Eid el fitr.
Commissioner of Police In Charge of Niger State, Adamu Abdullahi Elleman gave the advice in Minna, in response to the approval of their relocation tọ safer ground, by Governor Umar Bago of Niger state on rhe request by security agencies.
Adamu Elleman explained the move would enable the Police concentrate their efforts in a particular place for effective policing, in safeguarding their lives and propertis, considering the shortage of manpower at their dispossal.
Hẹ said Governor Umar Bago has also Promised tọ provide them with the needed social ammenities in such areas tọ have a conducive atmosphere and enjoy a memorable stay before returning tọ their ancestral homes.
Adamu Elleman however expressed satisfaction that the current approval tọ recruit fifty thousand additional Police officers in the country would nọ doubt helped tọ reduce the problem of inadequate manpower that would enhance effective service delivery.
The Commissioner of Police In Charge of Niger State who said similar recruitment is going own in the Departments of State Services DSS and Nigerian Army expressed confidence that in rhe next two tọ three years they will enough Personnel tọ achieve the desired objective.
