The seven construction workers recently kidnapped in Owa Onire community of Ifelodun local government area of Kwara state have regained their freedom.

In a statement the state commissioner for Works ,Abdulquawy Olododo confirmed their release from their abductors .

The statement commends the efforts of the state government and the security forces towards strengthening public safety and rid the state of bandits and terrorists.

It says the abductees included two engineers of the State Ministry of Works.

It appreciates the commitment of the state governor, security agencies and members of the public for their support during the trying times.
