The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, has commissioned housing units constructed by the Federal Government at Tudun Biri under the Resettlement Scheme for Persons Impacted by Conflict, alongside a newly completed 5.5-kilometre road built by the Kaduna State Government.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Shettima said the housing project reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to restoring dignity and stability to communities affected by conflict.

He explained that the houses are intended to provide safe shelter, promote peace, and support the reintegration of Tudun Biri residents affected by the erroneous military drone attack in 2023.

Also Speaking, Governor Uba Sani, who constructed the 5.5-kilometre Tudun Biri road, said the project will improve access, enhance economic activities and ease transportation challenges for residents.

He commended the Federal Government for its support and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to people-oriented development.

Also speaking, the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mrs Zubaida Umar, said the housing units are part of ongoing efforts to provide durable solutions for persons impacted by conflict.

She emphasized the importance of collaboration between federal and state authorities to ensure the sustainability of such interventions.

Beneficiaries of the projects expressed appreciation to the government, describing the housing and road infrastructure as timely interventions that will improve their living conditions.
