The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has commenced a one-day capacity-building training for supervisors and agents on the party’s newly introduced electronic registration (e-registration) portal, aimed at strengthening its membership database across the Zamfara Central Senatorial District.

Speaking at the training, the APC Publicity Secretary in Zamfara State, who also served as the coordinator of the exercise Yusuf Idris Gusau explained that, the programme was part of a nationwide initiative approved by the National Secretariat of the party to digitally revalidate and register all APC members from the national level down to the polling unit level.

According to Gusau, a total of 294 agents have been engaged to work directly with party members at the grassroots, while 14 local government supervisors would oversee and ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise in their respective local government areas.
He added that, the structure also includes three senatorial administrators to coordinate activities across the three senatorial districts, as well as a state coordinating administrative officer to supervise the entire process in Zamfara State.

Yusuf Idris Gusau noted that, the e-registration exercise was designed to produce a credible and accurate database of party members, stressing that, the initiative aligns with the APC’s commitment to digital innovation and internal democracy.
“This exercise is very important considering the strategic digital innovations being adopted to ensure the success of the party’s renewal agenda as envisioned by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.

The APC spokesperson in Zamfara State explained that, the e-registration would provide equal opportunities for members to participate fully in party activities, including contesting for elective positions or aspiring to leadership roles at the ward, local government, state, or national levels.
He pointed out that, without e-registration or e-membership, no individual will be able to participate in party processes.
“That is why we are appealing to our members to enlighten their supporters and encourage them to come out en masse to register,” he added.
Yusuf Idris Gusau stated that the party commenced the training in Zamfara Central and would continue the exercise tomorrow and the following day for party members in Zamfara West and Zamfara North
The coordinator also commended party leaders for their support, specifically appreciated Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, and other party stakeholders for standing firm with the APC at all levels.
Yusuf Idris Gusau further acknowledged the leadership of the state party executives for their cooperation, which he said would ensure the success of the training.
“On behalf of the APC state leadership, he thanked supervisors, agents, party executives, and all participants for their commitment and dedication, before officially declaring the training session closed on behalf of the State Party Chairman.
He emphasized that, together, they would build a stronger, more united, and successful APC in Zamfara State.
