Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Abdullahi Tsafe as the new Vice-Chancellor of Zamfara State University, Talata Mafara (ZAMSUT), for a single tenure of five years.

The appointment was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, through his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Sulaiman Ahmad Tudu.

He explained that the appointment followed the recommendations of the University’s Governing Council.

Professor Tsafe is a distinguished academic who obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in 2006 and was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2013 by Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS).

He has held several administrative positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Life Sciences at UDUS. He has also served as a Visiting Professor at ZAMSUT since 2018 and is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the university.

Governor Lawal expressed confidence that Professor Tsafe will deploy his wealth of experience and expertise to advance ZAMSUT to greater heights, in line with the administration’s commitment to education and academic excellence.
