The Senate has reassured its readiness to addressing the insecurity challenges bedeviling the country by way of supporting the president’s efforts with required legislation and adequate appropriation.

Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin gave the assurance while addressing a high-powered delegation from Bagwai and Shanono Local Government Areas of the Kano North Senatorial District, who paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.

Senator Barau assured the delegation of the Senate’s relentless efforts to ensure peace and stability in every part of the area, following recent bandit attacks in parts of Tsanyawa and Shanono in Kano State.

He told the gathering that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is concerned about the situation and is fully committed to ensuring the security of Nigerians in all parts of the country.

He said the recent efforts by Mr President to assist Banin Republic and the withdrawal of Police to serve Nigerians is a clear testimony that president Bola Ahmad Tinubu is fully committed in ensuring insecurity is a thing of the past.

He also advised them to reciprocate the Government’s efforts by indulging in meaningful ventures no matter how small it is to avoid loitering about and expose criminals and their hide out.

However, the delegation led by Hon Faruk Lawan appealed to the Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin to intensify efforts in ensuring security of lives and property in the area.

The visit was aimed at expressing gratitude for Senator Barau Jibrin’s unwavering support and empowerment initiatives that have impacted positively on the lives of not only Bagwai and Shanono but the entire Kano State.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation Hon. Faruk Lawan, lauded his commitment to grassroots development and his proactive approach to addressing the needs of his constituents.

Hon Faruk Lawan believed that Senator Barau Jibrin as a dogged leader would not relent in his efforts to ensure the people of the area are well protected by forwarding their request to Mr President Bola Ahmad Tinubu.

Hon Faruk further said the people of the area are fully committed in supporting the administration’s efforts to subdue the recent escalating tension and insecurity in the area.
