The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi has reassured wives of officers of the corps of his full support towards their welfare.
The Commandant General gave the assurance while speaking during the end of year meeting of the Civil Defence Officers Wives Association CDOWA,held in Kaduna.
Represented by the Kaduna State Commandant of the Corps, Panam Musa, the Commandant General said that the total well-being of his personnel were paramount to him, hence the need to ensure that their wives and children are well taken care of to achieve maximum results in their husbands in line with the corps mandate.
The CG who appreciated the women for taking good care of their children while their husbands are away on official duties, urged them to continue to show love to the family.
While reflecting on the loss of some personnel in the command this year, the Commandant General urged them to have a sober reflection on all the happenings in the year for improvement in the coming year.
In a remark the Chairperson of the Civil Defence Officers Wives Assocation, CDOWA, Kaduna state chapter, Mrs Victoria Panam Musa while convening the message of the National Chairperson, Mrs Abubakar Audi, explained that CDOWA is committed to ensuring that there is peace at home and the nation at large which has been captured in their slogan.
Mrs Musa who called on the women to continue to show love and understanding to their husbands, emphasized that the Assocation would continue to foster unity and love in homes, as it is the first point of call for the officers.
Highlight of the end of year meeting is the presentation of a portrait to the Kaduna state Commandant for his contributions towards the revival of the Assocation in Kaduna State Command.
