Jigawa State Ministry for Women Affairs and Social Development has earmarked ₦10.599 billion for capital and recurrent expenditures in the 2026 fiscal year.

The Commissioner, Hajiya Hadiza AbdulWahab, disclosed this while defending the new year’s budget estimate before the House of Assembly Committee on Women Affairs.

She said the Ministry will focus on improving women’s development and addressing issues affecting children to ensure care and protection for the vulnerable.

Hajiya Hadiza Abdulwahab noted that significant success has been recorded in the implementation of the 2025 budget while measures would be put in place to ensure improved service delivery in the new year.

She said care for women, children and the less privileged in the society form the component of the 13 point agenda of the Namadi led administration and assured of her determination to implement the 2026 budget provision to achieve the desired objectives.
